Telecommunication is no longer the expensive commodity it was in the past. Now everyone can afford communicating with the world and not only handful domestic numbers. In fact, telecommunication technologies have reached such heights in their development that people now can make free calls directly from internet browsers or by smartphones without using the cellular networks of the mobile operators.
Actually, mobile operators are also providing not only their users but any smartphone and internet browser user in the world with tools to make free and cheap calls to domestic and international numbers. T-Mobile is giving an example to the rest of mobile operators in the world by creating a service called Bobsled calling available for the following browsers Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari and all Android phones and iOS mobile devices.
With Bobsled users can make calls to phone numbers in USA, Canada and Puerto Rico free of charge using nothing more than an internet browser with installed Adobe Flash Player plug-ins. The service for now only supports calling phone numbers in these three coutries, but T-Mobile promises to provide more countries to the list. So who knows soon you might have the opportunity to call Spain or other country for free, too.
To make calls from iPhone or Android phones you should connect to internet via Wi-Fi or 3G networks. And don’t worry about the fact that you are using the service of a different mobile operator because Bobsled can be installed on any of the supported phones.
Bobsled is yet another example are free to communicate with each other even if separated by thousand of miles and live in different countries. For now the service provided by T-mobile only supports making calls for free to phone numbers in USA, Canada and Puerto Rico using an internet browser or smartphone. But in the future users might have the opportunity to call United Arab Emirates and other countries for free or, at least, on a lot cheaper rates than those offered by standard telecommunication services.
